To ensure a safe and beautiful burn, please review the following guidelines before lighting your tapers:
Separate Before Lighting: While beautiful to display tethered, you must cut the wick connecting the two candles before burning. Burning them while joined poses a severe fire hazard. Trim each wick to ¼ inch before every light.
Accommodating the Salt Base: The Himalayan salt at the base adds texture and magic, but it means these tapers may not fit snugly into standard ¾-inch chime or taper holders. We recommend using a pin-style candle holder, or gently melting a few drops of wax onto a heavy, fire-safe dish to stick the candle firmly in place.
Mind the End of the Burn: Salt does not melt. As the flame reaches the bottom of the candle, the salt may cause the remaining wax to pool outward or the flame to sputter. For absolute safety, extinguish the candle when ½ inch of wax remains.
Standard Fire Safety: Never leave a burning candle unattended. Keep away from drafts, open windows, children, pets, and flammable objects. Always burn on a level, heat-resistant surface.
